Diwali the festival of lights is a joyous celebration honoring the triump of light over darkness, good over evil, knowledge over ignorance and hope over despair. On 29th of October at 9:30 am Diwali celebration was held in St Mary's Central School, Auditorium. Respected guests Mrs Ashalatha Keerthi Shetty professor in Commerce, Sri Durgaparameshwari first grade college kateel. Fr Steevan Cutinho, the councillor of our school. Fr Lancy Joel Saldanha the Principal were present. Students performed various cultural events and gave us the apt message of the day. It was a joyous moment to celebrate the light of festival specially motivating everyone to the be the light to the darkened hearts. Chief guest Mrs Ashalatha Keerthi Shetty said Diwali origins date back to ancient India, with various legends and myths surrounding it's significance. Diwali significance extends beyond its cultural and religious roots. Fr Steevan Cutinho in his speech he said Diwali the festival of lights, is a vibrant celebration that illuminates the word with its message of hope, love and triumph. As we light our diyas and candles, we reaffirm our commitment to the values of goodness, knowledge and unity. During the program few of our students were honored with the certificate for securing second runner up in AICS competition. Which was held in mangalore as well as Abacus India Private Ltd. Conducted 19th Karnataka state level Abacus & Mental Arithmetic competition 2024 at Chitradurga and our student Sanvi of 5th C secured 4 th place.
Thus, the program ended by the school anthem.
