The new beginning is the New Invention. For the Portal of St. Mary's school arrived new petals of Fr Joachim Fernandes as the new correspondent and Fr Steven Cutinho as the counselor of the school.
On 7-06-2024 it’s a happiest day to the SMCS school to welcome Fr Joachim Fernandes as a new correspondent and the Parish priest of Kinnigoli and Fr Stevan cutinho the counselor.
The Programme began with a prayer song and it has brought us the prayerful atmosphere amidst us. Prayer song was sung by the students. And then both the priests were welcomed through the welcome dance performed by the students. Fr Lancy Saldanha with his colourful words brought joy to the gathering by welcoming the priests to the SMCS family. It was a marvelous moment to honour Fr Joachim Fernandes to the school. He was warmly honoured by the Principal Fr Lancy Saldanha, PTA President Mr. Suresh Suvarna and the teachers also present for the same. At the very outset Fr Joachim Fernandes appreciated the Principal and the staff for securing 100% results this year.
As a mark of this great event Fr Joachim Fernandes said 5 characteristics of students.

4. Alpahari
5.Grahatyagi
He said these characteristics must be implemented in the life of students. On the whole He blessed the school and said good wishes to the students for the future.
The whole programme was mastered by Miss Rebecca Pinto IX B and she was appreciated. Thus the programme ended with the school anthem.
