On Monday 18th December 2023 our St Mary's Central school organized annual sports day. The events took place in our school play ground.Rev Father Faustine Lucas Lobo Correspondent SMCS was the president and Mr. Manoj Kumar Naik Asst.Commissioner of police was the chief guest of the day.

All the dignitaries were escorted by the school band from the entrance gate of the school to the sitting area. The sports day started with march-past of four different houses that is, Nobel, Gentle, Moral, Model. After the march-past we invoked the blessing of the lord through a prayer song. Rev Fr Lancy Saldanha, our principal welcomed the gathering. Mr. Manoj Kumar Naik inaugurated the event by releasing couple of pigeons in to the sky followed by hoisting the school flag. The chief guest of the day Mr. Manoj Kumar Naik shared his experience on Sports and Games. Rev Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo encouraged our student to participate in sports and games for physical and mental fitness

After the stage function many sports events were conducted by our physical education Teachers, Mr. Chandrakanth Jain and Mrs. Jayalaxmi with the help of staff. All the students participated in sports and enjoyed a lot.
